OUR STORY
Bonsai Paper Co. started as a small, family-run business importing unique paper products from across the globe. Throughout our history, we have continually evolved in design, voice and style aesthetic, while remaining true to our passion for fine craftsmanship and commitment to artistry.

THE BONSAI
Bonsai is a Japanese art form that has transcended from the Chinese art of penjing over a thousand years ago. Bonsai utilizes horticultural techniques along with artistic applications to cultivate miniature replicas of trees as they've found in nature. This artistic tradition symbolizes our practice of offering handcrafted products that represent our journey and celebrate the joy of the everyday.

We believe that every customer should walk out of our retail locations leaving happier than when they first walked in. Our products may change over time but our mission statement stays the same. We provide support to our friends, not clients, through moments of joy, loss, happiness and accomplishments.

Bonsai Paper Co. is committed to protecting our supply chain from forced and child labor through regularly scheduled audits of our vendors and suppliers meeting or exceeding Fair Trade practices. Together, we can make a difference and at the same time, continue to provide beautiful products and cards that express the uniqueness that makes up the world.
As a global brand, we have a responsibility to do good and create sustainability practices that lead our industry. Packaging generates an enormous amount of waste, with millions of tons ending up in landfills and our oceans every year. All of our products are packaged in recyclable materials and in some cases, also made from eco-friendly recycled resources. Shipping orders are protected with compostable packing peanuts and vendor shipment boxes and packaging are recycled at our local facility.
